John Blasucci is a multi-faceted musician and producer, offering excellence in original music composition, orchestration, preparation, and audio production for the recording, film, Television and new media industries.

Rooted in his Italian heritage and shaped by a lifetime immersed in music, John Blasucci composes with a cinematic sensibility—blending lyrical melody, rich harmony, and expressive orchestration to create music that is both emotionally intimate and sweeping in scale.

Raised in a musical family in Chicago, Blasucci was influenced early by the vibrant sound of his grandfather’s big band and the contrasting piano styles of his parents—one passionate and expressive, the other precise and disciplined. These early influences helped shape a musical voice that balances feeling with craft. By the age of 17, he had already earned multiple classical piano competition honors, including two first-place awards, before later completing his degree in Piano Performance and Jazz Studies at Northern Illinois University.

His career has since spanned orchestral scoring, commercial music, and modern media production. Blasucci has composed for national campaigns including Verizon and Albertsons, contributed a slew of orchestrations to Mattel’s Barbie movies, created music and sound design for Las Vegas gaming platforms, and wrote the theme for PBS’s There Is a Bridge, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra.

A seasoned performer as well as a composer, Blasucci spent two decades touring as keyboardist for STYX founder Dennis DeYoung and has appeared internationally with Mannheim Steamroller. His musicianship can also be heard on more than 30 recordings alongside artists including Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Richard Marx, Michael Bolton, Peter Cetera, Jennifer Hudson, and *NSYNC.

Working from studios in Chicago and Salt Lake City, Blasucci continues to create cinematic orchestral music and modern sound design for film, television, and emerging media.
